New prize category for Nordisk Panorama

This year there will be a new prize category in the Nordisk Panorama, the Neo Arena Award. The prize is given to a short film that is best suited for multi-channel distribution. The prize is 2000 euros, which consists of purchase of the films sole rights for Neo Arena internet-television broadcasting in the internet and mobile networks until the end of the year 2007.

The winner is chosen from all the films that are selected in the competition programme and whose running time is not more than 10 minutes. Those who have already given their films sole rights to a third party, can not participate in this category.

Neo Arena will appoint its own three-person jury. The prize will be given to the winning films director in the festival’s Award Ceremony.

Neo Arena is a next generation TV-channel that can be viewed through the internet and mobile networks for free.

The excutive participants in the Neo Arena -project are School of Music, Dance and Media and the School of Engineering of Oulu University of Applied Sciences. Other main participants are Nokia, Oulu Innovation, VTT and the City of Oulu.
