The new Nordisk Panorama My Dinner With concept started with famed filmmakers Mika Kaurismäki and Fernando Trueba who captured the audience with their stories of why and how they became filmmakers, who had influenced them most and so forth.

“When I told my mom, that I wanted to became a filmmaker, she started to cry, because she would have preferred me to study architecture”, Kaurismäki said.

“At least you had some drama”, Trueba replied: “I told my family about it over dinner and they just continued eating like nothing had happened”, he added laughing.

“Making movies is like making dinner for friends at home”, Trueba summed up the great conversation. Thanks for having your dinner with us Mika and Fernando!
