The film registration for Nordisk Panorama is up and running!
Oulu welcomes you to the 18th annual Nordisk Panorama in the 21-26th of September! This is the second time for Oulu to host the festival for independent Nordic short and documentary films, the previous time being in autumn of 2002.
The festival is arranged in co-operation with moviemaker’s northern association Filmkontakt Nord and is held annually in one of the participating five cities which are, besides Oulu, last year’s festival city Århus, Bergen, Malmö and Reykjavik.
The festival itself will be an eclectic mix of arctic hysteria spiced up with northern Finland’s beautiful nature and of course, young moviemakers. Because that’s what the festival is all about: showcasing new and up-coming Nordic talents. It also provides a forum for professionals and cinema enthusiasts to interact with one another in screenings, seminars and social events held during the festival. Nordisk Panorama will have the set it deserves in the city’s new movie centre.
As a parallel activity to the festival, Filmkontakt Nord organises Nordisk Panorama Market for international movie festivals and movie distributors. The Market offers each year hundreds short film and documentary titles from the previous festival. During the Festival a Nordic Co-Financing Forum will also be arranged for Scandinavian television networks, movie institutes and representatives for the audiovisual financiers.
