My Dinner with Fernando Trueba

Nordisk Panorama is proud to launch a new mini-seminar concept this year. Entitled "My Dinner with..." (remember Louis Malle's My Dinner with André?), the idea is to invite an established short/documentary filmmaker based in the current year's Nordisk Panorama host country, and ask him or her in turn to invite one international colleague – be it a great idol or a respected contemporary filmmaker – of his choice for a to the festival. The filmmakers will then meet one evening during the festival for a "dinner", an informal afternoon session, where they will discuss their films, their views on filmmaking, and art, world and life in general.


The session is moderated by a representative from the festival; this year's host is the well-known Finnish documentary filmmaker John Webster.The audience is free to join in with their questions and comments. A selection of films from both guests will be screened as a part of the festival programme leading in to the discussion session.
